Natural Syrup Recipe for Cough and Sputum

In order to alleviate the cough and sputum which are the symptoms of upper respiratory tract affecting people and increasing in winter season we can find a remedy to our troubles by taking advantage of some of the plants that nature offers us.

Sputum is a secretion which includes materials such as dust, microbes, bacteria, etc. that is capable to make you sick and it is a composition which should be taken out from the body. Disposal of sputum is difficult and laborious. It can only disposed with cough. A person must take out the sputum by coughing even if it is involuntarily. Remaining of the sputum in body may issue an invitation to disease.

In order to overcome the problems that cough and sputum cause which are the symptoms of diseases such as colds, bronchitis, flu, would you want to prepare your own cough syrup at home?

Here is our natural cough syrup recipe prepared by using ginger, garlic, onion, cinnamon, lemon and honey in order to prevent the cough to harm you too much and easily get rid of from this secrete which fills the lungs and blocking the throat.

Syrup that is good for Cough and Sputum:

* Peel one onion and slice it to 7-8 pieces,

* Peel 5-6 cloves of garlic and slice into several pieces,

* 1 cinnamon stick,

* Peel a fresh ginger in a small size of potato and slice finely

Add these ingredients in a jar and stir them. Add 1 cup of boiling water on it and close the jar. Wait until it cools down. Strain the mixture after it cools down.

Also, leave the cinnamon stick into the mixture. After that add the juice of half lemon and 1 tablespoon of honey to this mixture and stir it.

Your syrup is prepared.

You can store this mixture, i.e., syrup in your fridge.

Give one tablespoon of mixture after meals to children and elders who have cough and sputum.

Note: Since there is honey in this mixture it should not be given to kids younger than 12 months, and to kids younger than 2 years due to the ginger content.
